About Us

Who We Are

We are a growing network of families who have experienced the dangers of marijuana and THC use and misuse. We are the faces behind the statistics.

We have watched loved ones suffer through Cannabis Use Disorder, unable to stop while sinking deeper and deeper into mental illness. We’ve seen our loved ones become people we don’t recognize as they suffer from Cannabis Induced Psychosis.

We’ve watched as they become delusional, paranoid, violent and suicidal. Some of us have lost these loved ones permanently. Others are grieving the living loved ones they once knew.

Why We Do This

We do this because there is always hope for smarter policy.

We believe that with Michigan’s leadership in the marijuana and THC industries, we have the responsibility to protect our citizens better. The cost of marijuana and THC use runs deep, not just for the primary user but also for the entire family.

Families suffer economic, emotional, and health consequences as they fight the daily struggle to get to some new ‘normal’. Sometimes for years. Sometimes tragically ending abruptly with a suicide.

What We Do

We share our lived experiences through verbal, written, live and virtual testimonies with our legislators and regulators in Lansing.

Our stories are not easy to tell. It takes courage. There is still a lot of stigma around drug abuse and mental illness. But we do this because it matters and because our voices are needed to create change.
